From September on, Para Los Niños is organizing workshops for every staff member of Hogar Virgen de Fatima. Each and every one of them manages an enormous workload, and Para Los Niños tries to help them with this in every way we can.
The workshops all have different subjects, for example: my work is…, my other family…
These subjects, and the matter of discussing them, is equally important for the staff as well as for the children. While the first and foremost objective will always be to take care of the babies and little children, we can improve their lives by working with the men and women who dedicate their time to this cause.
The general objective of these workshops is to generate a clear space for personal growth through personal and group experiences. We hope to achieve better communication and coordination amongst the staff of Hogar Virgen de Fatima.
Objectives:
- creating a space for self-reflection, appreciation and personal growth, through personal and group experiences
- identifying the importance of being able to express your thoughts and emotions, and sharing these with your coworkers
- identifying difficulties and problems in managing large groups
- getting to know the alternative solution the ‘educadoras’ provide for daily problems
- identifying positive and negative aspects of cases the ‘educadores’ are currently struggling with
- identifying the importance of individual work and working in groups in HogarVirgen de Fatima
- identifying strong points and weaknesses of each and every single person
- identifying how decisions are made in groups, and examining leadership
- identifying cause and consequences of working with a large team on a daily basis
