Why become a member of Para Los Niños?
Membership means that you share the values and objectives of Para Los Niños in supporting the children, youth and young adults housed in the 12 homes and institutions in La Paz.
Para Los Niños has three types of membership: active, passive and honorary.
Active Membership
Active members have a direct role in the structure and management of the organisation. They participate and vote in the General Assembly (they can vote via internet), commenting on annual action plans and budgets, annual operational and financial reports, contributing ideas to the projects, project management and fund raising. Active members live in La Paz, they contribute time and energy to support Para Los Niños activities.
Active membership is 70 Bolvianos per year (around 10 USD, or 7 euros).
Passive Membership
Passive members are people who want to contribute to the organization but have no time to be involved in the structuring and management of Para Los Niños. They receive frequent information including annual financial and operational reports, annual action plans, etc. They do not have the right to vote.
They can change their membership from silent to active at any time.
Passive membership is 210 Bolivianos per year (around 30 USD, or 21 euros)
Any donation recieved for over this amount automatically qualifies the donor for passive membership.
Honorary Membership
Honorary members are people who dedicate their time and energy in making certain activities happen. They can be people involved in projects or general activities of the organisation or those that support Para Los Niños in fund raising or with technical know-how.
Honorary members have a right to voice their opinion, comment and make suggestions on action plans, budgets, projects, etc. They are entitled to participate in the General Assembly and have the right to vote.
Honorary members are nominated by members of Para Los Niños and confirmed by the board. It is a lifelong membership until the member requests to be removed from the membership list.
